All sports activities are a contest of physical strength and mental endurance. Paintball provides for a dynamic added test of mind. Scenario role play games are an opportunity for friends to play together and share their knowledge of history, skills of science and strategy, and most importantly, the principles of fair play involved in all of life's pursuits. Mad Ivan's concentrates on creating challenging opportunities which test more than the accuracy of aim.

Scenario Games are for the fun of it.

If you love paintball just for the fun of it, then recreational play is what you want to play. The competition is strong, but pressure to rack up a personal score sheet doesn't exist like it does with competitive tournament play.

Fellowship and good sportsmanship moves up to the top of the priority list. Players also enjoy researching the simulated events, collecting artifacts, developing their personas for reinactments or roleplay games. Camping also becomes a high art form.

The Island Hopping Campaign

Mad Ivan's Paintball gets out in the bushes now and then to organize great games of war enactment. The Island Hopping Campaign is an anachronism which honors historic events in the Pacific Islands during WW2. The games are based on facts of history which present the design and mission. It's amazing how often the results are the same as history. This might bear out the theory that all victory in war is a result of opposing strategies not always being enough to overcome the circumstances of situations. Historic themes add to the fun of a whole weekend of paintball. Players gain extra game points when they dress the part and act out the characters. The Island Hopping Campaign integrates history and role play as each players honors the warriors of history on both sides of the engagement.

Cinco de Mayo	........................... 8,000 dapper French Dragoons marched towards Mexico City to collect the debt levied by the Emperor Napoleon III. They were met by 4,000 less stylishly dressed Mexicans. President Benito Juarez offered gold, but Maxmillian wanted the whole enchilada. Texas born General Zaragosa led the ground troops and Colonel Porfirio Diaz led the cavalry. Diaz flanked the French as Zaragosa drove cattle thru the middle followed by the machete swinging peasants army. The battle of Puebla made certain Napoleon III didn't have the financial resources to supply weapons to confederate rebels in the U. S. Civil War, effectively ending it. General Sheridan responded by giving the determined Mexicans all the weapons they needed to completely expel the French.Cinco De Mayo preserved the newly established democratic government of Mexico and saved the lives of many Americans by strongly contributing to the end of the American Civil War.
